If we recognize that there is an inextricable link between biological, cultural, and linguistic diversity, then we must learn how to integrate the conservation of biodiversity with the maintenance and revitalization of cultural and linguistic diversity. The 45 projects that we described and analyzed in our book Biocultural Diversity Conservation: A Global Sourcebook offer a great variety of inspiring ideas and solutions about biocultural diversity conservation. But we know that there is an even greater wealth of ideas and solutions out there, only waiting to be tapped! Together, we can build a powerful knowledge base that everyone can benefit from. And by using our collective wisdom, we can become stronger, more visible, and “push the boundaries” of conservation worldwide.
